About Department: 

       Department of Commerce establish in 1972 and M.Com P.G in 1981. Now in academic year of 2014-15 move than student in P.G. level and 140 student in P.G. level admitted. result of the department is move than university result. The department organized one day shute level seminar 2011. There are two permants faculty members and our depatment is recognized research center from 2008. Dr. S.A. Band is already research guide and inrolled 07 student under P.G. guidance. Dr. S.S. Jadhav is also research guide in commerce recently. Department organize various activitition every year.

  • Faculty members are attending various National and International Conference  
  • Faculty members are also providing counseling to the students to resolve issues, Psychological, Academic & Career.
  • Students are given Assignments through out the academic year to enable them to get thorough knowledge in the subjects.
  • In the process of continuous evaluation, students take up Seminars on curriculum subjects and also on the topics of the subjects incorporating the day to day development.
  • Extension Lectures: Regular curricular and attitude building Extension Lectures by eminent personalities are organized.
  • Remedial Classes are conducted to enhance the performance of academically weak students.
  • Career Counseling: Career Counseling is conducted for the outgoing batch by experts from various fields about career choices available for the students so that they can make right choice.
  • Former students are invited to the college annually for the Alumni Meet to share their expertise and experience.

  • Dr.S.S.Jadhav has been sanctioned Major Project by ICSSR New Delhi Rs.18,00,000/-
  • Three Research Scholar awarded Ph.D. Degree and Three Scholar are ongoing Ph.D. work under the guidance of Dr.S.S.Jadhav.
  • Two Research Scholar awarded Ph.D. Degree and Six Scholar are ongoing Ph.D. work under the guidance of Dr.S.A.Band.
  • Guest Lectures are conducted by subject experts like chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants and other academicians for better understanding of subjects.
  • More than 50 Research Paper are published in various National, International Journals and Conference Proceeding. 
  • Certificate Courses entitles “Tally” are aimed to complement academic achievements with practical skills and also to enhance the employability of students.
  • Mentoring: As part of Mentoring, class in charges are allotted to every class who take up the responsibility of Academic Counseling and Personal counseling apart from the regular counseling. Each student’s track of attendance percentage is maintained.

Course Outcomes

  • Commerce education is business education. Commerce education is that area of education which develops the required knowledge, skills and attitudes for the handling of Trade, Commerce and Industry. The recent commerce graduate can enhance their education and has emerged in the form of Chartered Accountant, Cost and works accountant, Company secretary and Business administrator. Commerce education is a totally different from other disciplines. Hence, it must charter new routes to service the aspirations of the nation.
  • To meet the growing needs of the business society, there is greater demand for sound development of commerce education. The relevance of commerce education has become more imperative, this means a marked change in the way commerce and management education is perceived in India. Through teaching, research, and service, the College of Commerce is dedicated to developing tomorrow's leaders, managers, and professionals.
  • Commerce provides the knowledge, skills, understanding and values that form the foundation on which young people make sound decisions on consumer, financial, business, legal and employment issues. It develops in students an understanding of commercial and legal processes and competencies for personal financial management. Through the study of Commerce students develop financial literacy which enables them to participate in the financial system in an informed way.
  • Central to the course is the development of an understanding of the relationships between consumers, businesses and governments in the overall economy. Through their investigation of these relationships, students develop the capacity to apply problem-solving strategies which incorporate the skills of analysis and evaluation. Students engage in the learning process which promotes critical thinking, reflective learning and the opportunity to participate in the community.
  • To function competently in our democratic and pluralistic society, students need to develop the ability to research information, evaluate options, and participate in collaborative decision making within the commercial and legal framework and acquire the necessary skills to become self-directed lifelong learners.
